Xbox Game Pass Standard for $1

Microsoft announced that they are discontinuing the Xbox Game Pass Console tier a and will be replaced by Xbox Game Pass Standard tier. The latter, unfortunately, will no longer include day-one titles enjoyed by Console members. It does have its own merits though as it now has an online multiplayer feature which was only possible with the Console tier if the member had a separate Xbox Game Pass Core subscription.

So really, unfortunate or not really depends on the kinds of games you play and whether you have an existing Core subscription.

Amid these mixed opinions, Microsoft has now opened a preview of Xbox Game Pass Standard for only $1 per month. There is no stated end date for the preview so you can renew the Standard subscription for $1, for now. Once they decide to stop the preview, the regular price is set at $14.99 / 12.99€ / 10.99.



This Game Pass Preview is available for eligible Xbox Insiders. If you are, you can head on to the Xbox Insider Hub on your console where you will see the option.

Game Pass Core members with more than two months left in their subscription and Ultimate members cannot participate in this preview.
