XBOX GAME PASS GENERATES $2.9 BILLION
According to a report by Brazil’s Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), Microsoft generated $2.9 billion in revenue from the Xbox Game Pass in 2021.
In total, Xbox made $16.28 billion for Microsoft last year, which means the Xbox Game Pass was responsible for 17.8% of Xbox’s revenue in 2021.
The number becomes even more impressive when you consider that it only accounts for Xbox consoles and does not include Xbox Game Pass PC revenue.
The figures come after Microsoft announced subscriptions for Xbox Game Pass reached 225 million in January, and their $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard was given the green light.
