What is Tarisland?
As mentioned earlier, Tarisland is a free MMORPG. The game is developed by Tencent’s Level Infinite and Locojoy. It aims to create a crossplay experience between PC and mobile. Last year, there were two beta tests for the game, and fans were enthusiastic.
Tarisland is about a celestial conflict between three ancient gods: Leith, Acheron, and Moira. As a player, you must save the world of Taris from these gods’ destruction and engage in mythical battles against them and their minions.
Tarisland Gameplay
Tarisland features several different classes typical of MMORPGs. In Tarisland, there are nine different classes. Each class has two specializations, ensuring that everyone can find a class they enjoy playing. Each class has a skill tree, providing unique abilities and combat styles.
Tarisland includes both PvE and PvP elements. You can team up with other players to defeat powerful bosses that you couldn’t handle alone or participate in epic raids. The game’s open world offers various biomes, where new NPCs with missions and enemies await.
You can also engage in activities other than fighting. You can gather ores and other materials in the world. These materials can be crafted into powerful weapons and sold at the auction house. You can also buy powerful items for your character with the money you accumulate.
As mentioned, the game will be released for PC and mobile (Android and iOS). This game supports crossplay, allowing PC players to play with mobile players. While mobile games often have microtransactions, more on that later.
Tarisland Costs
Tarisland will be completely free. Unlike WoW, you don’t need a subscription or a one-time purchase. However, you can buy cosmetic items or in-game currency with real money. The developers aimed to make the game less pay-to-win to keep it fair, so no one feels pressured to spend money. While there are some small advantages to investing money, you can achieve everything without spending any.
Tarisland Pre-Registration Bonus and Release
You can pre-register for Tarisland now to receive some bonuses. So far, you get a game pack, a title, and a mystery pet. Over 3 million players have pre-registered. If 5 million players pre-register by the release, you’ll get a mystery mount as well. The game launches on June 21, so you have until then to register and claim your rewards.
But that’s not all. Currently, there is also a contest in Tarisland where you can win more prizes. The grand prize is a flagship Apple or Android phone. You can also win €100 gift cards or in-game items.
