As part of a special promotion, the indie team at Mommy’s Best Games has decided to offer their game Weapon of Choice DX for free. Recently updated to the DX version, allowing players to enjoy this unique vertical scrolling shoot ’em up for free.
Getting Weapon of Choice DX is very simple. Just go to the official game page on Steam. Once there, simply click on “Add to Account” to permanently add it to your Steam library.
Weapon of Choice DX will be available for free until 22nd September 2024, the day before the game’s ninth anniversary celebration. You have plenty of time to add it to your library and maybe try out this fun vertical scrolling shmup where you’ll annihilate an alien threat. But if you miss the promotion, you can still get the game for just a few cents through Allkeyshop.
Weapon of Choice DX is the updated version of the Shoot ‘Em Up created and developed by the small team at Mommy’s Best Games, originally released on November 19, 2008. Weapon of Choice DX offers a sidescroller with multiple branches, where you’ll need to complete levels with up to 7 different characters, each with their own abilities. The DX version adds support for up to 4K resolution, a more solid framerate, an improved UI, and more balanced gameplay. This is an homage to classic games like Contra but offers something original with hand-drawn art and a heavy metal soundtrack.
