Ravenswatch initially released on Early Access on Steam on April 6, 2023. With just over a year into it, the game is ready for its full release.

The game is a top-down roguelike action game where you play as heroes from famous folk tales and legends. These heroes must battle hordes of nightmarish creatures to save their world from the encroaching Nightmare.

Ravenswatch 1.0 Launch

It is finally out of Early Access and we can play the game in all its 1.0 glory! For those who have played during EA, progress will not reset. However, the team recommends replaying the game as it seems that there is more content added to it.

The lead up to the full launch was well prepared with even a patch release a few days before. But like most releases, not everything will go as planned and Ravenswatch wasn’t spared. A recurring issue in Ravenswatch Lobbies was made known and although it does not prevent playing the game in multiplayer, it increases the time to join matchmaking games.

While the devs are working on this issue, a quick fix was deployed, removing the Friends list system for now. This will be reinstated when the issue is resolved.

On a brighter note, Ravenswatch 1.0 release is celebrated with the launch of the Supported Edition. It includes the following:

Ravens Skin Pack: 9 exclusive Ravenswatch-colored outfits for the heroes Scarlet, Beowulf, The Snow Queen, The Pied Piper, Aladdin, Sun Wukong, Geppetto, Melusine and Carmilla
Nightmares Skin Pack: 9 exclusive outfits in Nightmares colors, for the same heroes
Digital Soundtrack: The game’s original soundtrack, mastered in a 20-track album
Digital Artbook: More than 150 plates of concept art and illustrations from pencil to 3D

If you already own the game, you can purchase any of these DLCs separately on Steam at a discount. And as a little something extra for gamers who bought during Early Access, they will be automatically given the “Fairytales Skin Pack” for FREE.

Ravenswatch Console Release Date

Ravenswatch dev team was always clear that the game will come out for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. It was initially planned to be released with the PC version but they communicated that additional paperworks takes time for the console platforms and they wanted to release the PC as soon as it was ready.

But don’t worry, the console version is no longer “fall 2024”. Ravenswatch console release date is scheduled for November 28, 2024. More details on this release will be available once the post-launch roadmap has been released.
