Deadlock

For some time now, there have been rumors and images online about Valve’s new game called Deadlock. Finally, there are official details about the game, although they are still quite vague. Here you will find everything we know about Deadlock so far.

Key Information

  • Deadlock is Valve’s new third-person MOBA.
  • Play 6v6 battles with 20 champions.
  • You can only play the game if a friend invites you.

What is Deadlock?

Deadlock is a 6v6 multiplayer game by Valve. Similar to Smite, it is a third-person MOBA. Like League of Legends or Dota, you must destroy turrets on different lanes with minions and aim to destroy the enemy base. The characters have various weapons and abilities that they can use in combat.

Deadlock

So far, only an early alpha version of Deadlock is available. Not everyone can play it yet, but more on that later. The game was kept secret for a while, but now more is being shown to the public. There is now a Steam page for Deadlock. Unfortunately, it’s not very informative. There is a teaser showing one of the in-game champions standing by a wall, with minions running in the background.

The only other information provided by the store page is that it’s a multiplayer game still in early development. But we have a bit more information for you. Some players have already had the chance to test the game, and we’ll tell you how you can play too. But first, let’s dive into some more detailed information.

Unlike games like League of Legends or Dota 2, Deadlock has four lanes instead of three. You can travel faster between lanes using ziplines. The game also features six players per team, compared to the usual five in other games. There are “jungle monsters” between the lanes that you can defeat to earn gold. You can also earn gold by killing players or minions, which you can then use to buy upgrades in the shop. These upgrades can improve your firing rate, health, damage, or ability power.

Let’s briefly discuss the abilities. The early alpha version of Deadlock features 20 different champions. Each champion has unique weapons and four abilities that you can upgrade throughout the game. Every champion has different abilities, offering various playstyles.

How Can I Play Deadlock?

Many players are probably wondering how they can test Valve’s new game. According to SteamDB, more than 80,000 people have already played the game simultaneously, so the player base can’t be that small. You can also find new videos and streams of Deadlock on Twitch and YouTube. To play this early version of Deadlock, you need to be invited by a friend. Now that the game is officially listed on the Steam Store, you can check if any of your Steam friends own Deadlock and ask them to invite you.

But since Deadlock now has a Steam entry, it likely won’t be long before there are other ways to play the game. As soon as there are new updates, we at AllKeyShop will inform you immediately, so be sure to check back with us from time to time.
