Valorant Datamine Hints at Console & Steam Deck Ports
A recent Valorant datamine has revealed a multi-platform release for Riot’s online FPS. Keep reading and find out if Valorant will be coming to console soon.
Can you play Valorant on Steam Deck?
A datamine of Riot’s first-person shooter Valorant has revealed a potential release on Nintendo Switch, Linux and Steam Deck.
Valorant is Riot’s competitive 5v5 tactical FPS rival to Valve’s Counter-Strike 2. At the moment, it’s only available on Riot’s own PC platform, but that could all be changing as PC_Focus_ on X has provided a screenshot of a data leak of the game suggesting it is set to come to PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Steam Deck, and other PC platforms.
What’s noticeable in the screenshot is that it does appear that not only will it launch on other platforms, but it looks like it’s going to be crossplay, which will not only welcome to the existing community but will no doubt see the player base rise but potentially stay longer if it means friends can play with one another on separate platforms.
Riot has not provided any official confirmation or otherwise about the leak, but it wouldn’t be a stretch to assume its correct with a Valorant mobile release expected sometime in 2024.
