Valheim is an incredible open-world game, and we’re obsessed with it. In this article, we provide a list of downloadable Valheim mods to make your game even better.
What Is a Mod?
A mod, short for “modification,” changes the game and adds new options and features. Mods make Valheim easier, more challenging, or more enjoyable, giving the player a way to customize the game to their liking.
Valheim Mods
Valheim does not yet officially support mods via the Steam Workshop, but there is a way to get them.
Note: We strongly recommend backing up your data before downloading or installing any mods.
Install Valheim Mods: This is how it works
Mods can be installed either manually or via a mod manager.
Note: We recommend Vortex Manager on Nexusmods.com.
Nexusmods is one of the largest providers of mods. You do need an account on the website to download mods, but from there, it is very easy and streamlined.

Download Vortex and install the program. In the “Games” tab, you must then allow the manager to manage Valheim. You may need to download additional settings to do this.
Valheim Plus
Valheim Plus modifies stats, players, buildings, and entities. V+ adds quality to life improvements, including the game’s difficulty and general experience.

Gameplay:

Modify stamina consumption and regeneration.

Modify food duration.

Modify carry load.

Remove screen shakes.

Disable the use of portals.
Play Hud:
- Disable red screen flash on receiving damage.
- Show the amount of items in the player’s inventory when crafting or building an object.
Game Difficulty:
- Modify the difficulty multipliers applied to health and damage of enemies.
- Set the difficulty calculation to a specific player count.

Equipment and Quick Slots 2.0
Equipment and Quick Slots 2.0 is a mod that assigns equipped items their own separate inventory slots and adds additional quick slots accessed via hotkeys.
The mod is designed to ease inventory management pressure and is a big help for those playing solo.

Unrestricted Portals
Unrestricted Portals is a great mod that allows for the transportation of resources through portals.
Grinding for resources should not be so mentally draining, and thanks to Unrestricted Portals, you can now even transport blacklisted items through portals.

Craft Build Smelt Cook Fuel Pull From Containers
This mod does what it says in the title. You can easily pull items from nearby containers when smelting, cooking and crafting.
You can now craft items, start fires, smelt ores, and build your home without going back and forth to your containers.

- Crafting menus will now show whether it’s possible based upon resources available in nearby containers.
- Resource requirement now shows the total amount available in nearby containers.

Planting Plus
Grow crops and let your garden flourish with this mod that allows you to modify the ability to plant certain resources, including the option to spawn them separate from their native biomes.
Placeable resources include the following:
- Raspberry Bushes

- Birch Saplings
- Oak Saplings
- Ancient Saplings

BuildShare is a handy mod that allows you to save and load constructions, including sharing them with other players and installing theirs.
Some of the features include:
- Saving and loading of constructions.
- Previsualize before building.
- Undo any build.
- Debuild in a radius.

You should definitely. Try the first person mod i own the forest and this game is very similar especially with this mod.
There are few good mods for Vallheim which makes the base game better. In General mods are good to enchance a game and early access games profit more from it since they lack some features.
