Train Sim World 5 Preorder Bonus

Train Sim World 5 was just recently announced and it is loaded with a lot of new stuff! Pre-ordering the game is now live on Steam, Epic Games Store, Playstation store, and Xbox Store. First off, early access.




The early access is only applicable to Deluxe and Special Editions but the Standard Edition will have Decal Pack 1 which is also included in the higher tiers. The Train Sim World 5 Early Access will begin on September 12, 2024 16:00 BST/ 17:00 CET / 8:00 PST.

This early play will allow eligible players full access to the game and all inclusions of the edition that was pre-ordered. And for the first time, Steam players will also be able to download their Compatible Content during this time. As for other platforms, this will be available upon the game’s official launch on September 17. To reiterate, you will need to download the TSW 5 version of all Compatible Content.


Train

The preorder bonus also includes a 10% discount on all platforms. This, however, will not be available for all players except for those who will buy from Epic Game Store.

Those who will be preordering from Xbox and Steam, the 10% discount will only show if you own a copy of previous Train Sim World and are logged in the same account when viewing TSW 5. And for Playstation users, the 10% is only available with an active Playstation Plus subscription.

How to play Train Sim World 5 for free?

There are two ways to play Train Sim World 5 for free. First is with an active Xbox Game Pass subscription. This was confirmed during the game’s official announcement, which stated that it is launching in the service on day-one. This is great news especially with TSW 4 leaving Game Pass last month.

Second is with the free Starter Pack. This pack allows players with previous Train Sim World to upgrade to TSW 5 and also allows new players access to some features of the game.


Play

If you are upgrading, you get the full features including Free Roam, Livery Designer, Scenario Planner, Formation Designer and Creators Club. It also unlocks a huge back catalogue of add-ons. The only thing not accessible for you are the new routes and new locos which you can purchase separately.

And if you are a new player, you will only have access to the Training Center as the pack does not include any routes. But it does give a good overview and initial experience of the game. Plus you can purchase add-ons after which will unlock more features.
