Top PC Game Releases for February 2019

If you’ve been following some of the games coming out this year, you’ll know that February is packed with some of the biggest releases of the year. No matter what type of games you’re into, this month has something to get you excited about. And so, here are the top PC game releases for February 2019, along with our best deals for each one.

Biggest Releases of February 2019 on PC

Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown — 1 February

Quality aerial dogfight sims are rare, but Ace Combat is a legend in the genre. The latest installment takes players back to Strangereal — an alternate world based on reality but steeped in Ace Combat lore. Skies Unknown features stunning graphics and stellar lighting, immersive audio design, a combination of real-world and futuristic aircrafts, and thrilling realistic dogfights. It also offers a solid campaign with a gripping narrative. Flight sim fans definitely won’t want to miss this.

God Eater 3 — 8 February

Bandai Namco’s God Eater series has always been a popular choice for people who enjoy the Monster Hunter formula but want anime visuals paired with their monster-slaying experience. God Eater 3 continues that tradition. Set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monstrous god-like creatures called Aragami, players take on the role of teenage warriors wielding massive weapons called God Arcs, the only weapon that can defeat an Aragami. There are a lot of new features in the third outing, making combat even more engaging.

Civilization 6 Gathering Storm — 14 February

Civilization 6 will get its second expansion this month. Gathering Storm widely expands the strategic considerations for players as it brings natural disasters into play. Players will need to weigh the pros and cons of settling near high-risk tiles such as volcanoes and rivers. Global climate will also be introduced, with global warming increasing the chances of flooding and raising sea levels. The World Congress and Diplomatic Victories also make a comeback, plus there’s 8 new civs and 9 new leaders to play around with.

Crackdown 3 — 15 February

After several delays, barring any last minute hiccups, we’ll finally get to play the much-anticipated Crackdown 3. Unfortunately, and no thanks to the lack of recent promotion, the hype train for Sumo Digital’s open-world sandbox shooter may have long died out. Still, it promises loads of destruction and entertaining gunplay, over-the-top action-packed multiplayer matches, and a futuristic open world filled with things to keep you occupied. Also, it’s a Play Anywhere title, which is good news for those who game on both a PC and an Xbox One.

Far Cry New Dawn — 15 February

Far Cry 5’s ending left a bad taste for many, given how inconsequential everything you did in the game felt afterwards. That’s probably why Ubisoft thought it best to give players the chance to head back to Hope County 17 years after it all blew up. Build up your home base, battle enemies for valuable resources, and take on the ruthless Twins and their gang, the highwaymen. Also, the color palette may have you thinking whether Ubisoft has ever seen any promotional material for Rage 2.

Jump Force — 15 February

If Dragon Ball FighterZ being 2D has left you unable to touch the game, then Jump Force might give you the anime fighting fix you’ve been looking for. Strange creatures called Venoms have been gathering baddies from your favorite manga series and anime shows and taking them to the real world to wreak havoc. Now, Luffy, Goku, Naruto and other Jump heroes have banded together to stop them. The result is one of the biggest and most diverse crossovers in fighting game history.

Metro Exodus — 15 February

Although Deep Silver’s last-minute decision to ditch Steam and go Epic-exclusive has sparked controversy, there’s no denying that Metro Exodus is still one of the most anticipated games of the year. Exodus will have players abandoning the pseudo safety of the Metro tunnels and going on a cross-country adventure in search of a new beginning. The on-the-fly weapon modding scheme adds some tactical depth while the outdoor setting makes for a nice change of scenery for the story-driven shooter.

Anthem — 22 February

BioWare’s biggest release in years is also their biggest gamble in years. With the lackluster reception of Mass Effect Andromeda, not to mention EA’s bad rep nowadays, the devs have a lot riding on this one. On a positive note, everything we’ve seen of the game so far has been impressive. Plus, the fact that all future content will be free and microtransactions will be cosmetic only is definitely an enticing offer to fans of the shared-world shooter genre. So, will this be EA’s big Destiny-killer? We’ll have to wait and see.

Trials Rising — 26 February

Take on a different kind of motorbiking challenge that’s perfect both for “just-one-level-before-I-go-out” and “I’m-not-standing-up-until-I-finish-this” playthroughs. Trials Rising will have you going through physics-based puzzles cleverly embedded into challenging motocross courses that will appeal to fans of platformers, puzzle games, and racing games. Challenge friends in local or online multiplayer races, or work in tandem with a friend as you each control a wheel on a single bike to get through special challenges.

Dirt Rally 2.0 — 26 February

If you prefer speed and technique over puzzle-solving prowess in your racing games, then you might want to pick up Dirt Rally 2.0. The sequel features iconic real-life tracks from all over the world, recreated stunningly with gorgeous environments and realistic surface traction and handling. Get behind the wheel of over 50 powerful off-road vehicles and tune them to fit your driving style and the requirements of each track. Take on the singleplayer Career mode or test your skills against friends and other players online.

And those are the top PC game releases for February 2019. This is one of the heaviest months this year in terms of big releases, so there should be a game for every type of gamer in this list. Once you’ve made your pick/s, make sure to check out our deals for each game as it’ll be hard for you to find a better deal on the web. Cheers!
