Wow, the year has flown by again, and that’s why we at AllKeyShop want to wish you a fantastic year 2025. We hope you started the new year on a high note, and now we want to take a moment to look back. Today, we are revisiting the Top 5 WTF Moments in Gaming from 2024.
Last year brought us countless funny and interesting moments in gaming. For the past 13 weeks, every Wednesday, we have been sharing the Top 3 moments. Now, we will summarize the Top 5 WTF Moments in Gaming from the past year for you.
#5 The Legendary Leeroy Jenkins Clip
We kick things off with a clip that is actually many years old, the legendary Leeroy Jenkins clip from World of Warcraft. Last year, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of World of Warcraft, and as part of that celebration, many classic clips resurfaced. One of those is the iconic Leeroy Jenkins moment.
This clip is more than 10 years old and showcases a guild meticulously planning their strategy for a dungeon run. However, one player becomes fed up with the discussion and decides to charge straight into the action. That player is Leeroy Jenkins, and what makes this clip so legendary is how he shouts his own name as a battle cry while rushing headfirst into the dungeon.
#4 Cyberpunk 2077 Hyperrealistic Modding
Next up, we have a video from our very first edition of the Top WTF Moments. We covered a wide range of topics, including Max Verstappen racing in Minecraft and brutal killers in Dead by Daylight. However, one highlight was a mod for Cyberpunk 2077.

To be more specific, the focus was on the DreamPunk 2.0 mod. There is a clip that you might need to watch five times before realizing it isn’t real life but actually gameplay footage. This mod makes the game appear hyper-realistic, to the point where it is nearly indistinguishable from reality. The only thing that gives it away is the design of the cars, which hints that the visuals are from the game.
#3 Call of Duty Warzone – What’s in the Snowballs?
In the third spot, we have a clip that is still fresh, having been shared just last week. December 25th brought us Christmas-themed clips, and many games updated their maps to reflect the festive season. Call of Duty Warzone was no exception, introducing special holiday game modes.
During Call of Duty Warzone’s “Holiday Rush” event, a modified Resurgence mode was introduced on the festively decorated Area 99 map, which was blanketed in snow. A new “weapon” was also added—the snowball. Surprisingly, the snowball turned out to be extremely powerful. With just a few throws, it was possible to take down an enemy. This led some players to speculate that the snowballs might have been packed with something extra, like a rock.
#2 Are League of Legends Players the Smartest Gamers?
For the second entry, we turn our attention to a study rather than a clip. This study surveyed around 1,000 gamers to determine their most-played games and measured their IQs. Conducted by the British website WhichBingo, the results were truly fascinating.
The study revealed the top 20 smartest gaming communities. In third place were Baldur’s Gate 3 players, with an average IQ of 117.9. Second place went to Black Myth: Wukong players, who had an average IQ of 119.8. Finally, League of Legends players topped the chart with an impressive average IQ of 120.4. Meanwhile, at the bottom of the list, FC 24/FIFA 23 players ranked 20th, with an average IQ of 89.8.
#1 A PS5 Upgrade Like You’ve Never Seen Before
Finally, our top spot goes to a legendary PlayStation 5 upgrade that was featured earlier in December. This was showcased in a YouTube video by German-speaking YouTuber Techmagnet, who specializes in gaming and console modifications. In this video, Techmagnet completely transformed a PS5 with a stunning upgrade that included water cooling and much more.

In this video, Techmagnet removed the PS5 from its original casing and installed it in a PC gaming case. He then added features like water cooling, LED lighting, and even a built-in screen. The result is so dramatically altered that it no longer looks like a PlayStation 5 at all. It’s an incredible transformation and a definite glow-up in my opinion.
And there you have it—the Top 5 WTF Moments in Gaming from 2024. But this isn’t the end. While it’s the end of the year, the WTF Moments will continue. Every Wednesday in the upcoming year, we will bring you more WTF Moments from the past week. So, stay tuned! What was your personal favorite WTF Moment in gaming this year?
