#3: Xbox and Bethesda Sponsor BWT Alpine F1 Team

F1 and gaming come together this weekend as the Formula 1 season restarts with the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas. Xbox and Bethesda are sponsoring the BWT Alpine F1 team with Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon wearing suits and driving cars inspired by the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. That belongs in a museum.

#2: John Helldiver Now Canon

It’s happened, Helldivers 2 has made it mainstream as John Helldiver becomes canon. Following the likes of John Halo, John Warhammer, John Doom, and John Skyrim, John Helldiver is a badass with attitude. In the latest patch notes, under Automatons and Hulk Bruiser, the notes read: “If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can enlist… John Helldiver.” No doubt he loves to drink a nice up of LIBER-TEA.

#1: Grand Theft Hamlet Coming to Cinemas

Grand Theft Hamlet, a documentary made inside GTA Online, is coming to UK theaters on December 6. The story follows two unemployed actors who recreate the story of Shakespeare’s Hamlet – yes, in GTA Online. Recorded during the COVID lockdown, the film has already appeared in the US at SXSW and will be shown at the BFI London Film Festival this month. The rest of us can catch it this December when it hits cinemas. We got a film recorded in GTA Online before GTA 6.
