In an announcement on 31st July 2024, indie developer G.Reed revealed that the currently free game Tire Friend will soon have a listing price that will gradually increase. An unusual marketing choice, and as a result, this simple indie game where you play as a car tire will become a paid game.

Getting Tire Friend for free, although not for much longer, is very easy. Just go to the game’s official page on the Steam store. Once on the page, simply click on Add to Library, and you’re all set.

What is Tire Friend

Tire Friend is an indie game developed by G.Reed, most likely a solo developer, released in Early Access on 8th February 2024. With a very quirky story, a certain deity named Kevin creates a universe centered around the Tire Friend Planet. A world inhabited by obstacle races where you guide the animated tire, Tire Friend, through various levels of increasing difficulty. A very simple game that harkens back to classic platforming games during the rise of 3D games. With many locations and obstacles to tackle, but also power-ups to use to complete each level as quickly as possible.
