The Redditor noted that there is no actual demo available for download directly on Steam nor a dedicated button to install it. Out of curiosity, the user visited the game’s official website and found a direct download link for the demo. That’s when things started to seem off.

Not only did the website feel suspicious, but the game’s promotional images also appeared to be taken from other games. Even more telling, the game’s logo contained a typographical error which is a clear red flag for a scam.

Further investigation by other Reddit users confirmed the worst, the “demo” is actually a virus in disguise. Even more concerning, this particular malware is mostly undetected by VirusTotal, one of the most widely used tools for scanning files for viruses and malicious software.

According to the Reddit thread, this malware is classified as an info stealer, a dangerous type of malware designed to steal passwords, personal information, and other sensitive data. If you have already downloaded and run this file, it is strongly recommended that you immediately delete all files it created and change all of your passwords to prevent potential breaches.
