The Callisto Protocol features at Sony’s State of Play, in which developer Striking Distance Studios revealed its first gameplay trailer and release date.

THE CALLISTO PROTOCOL FEATURES
The Callisto Protocol is an upcoming third-person horror survival game by Striking Distance Studios, which Dead Space Creator Glen Schofield founded.
In the gameplay trailer from Sony’s State of Play, we can see a game that clearly takes inspiration from the Dead Space games.
And Schofield acknowledges as much in a PlayStation blog post in which he states he is “excited to be returning to my roots with an all-new take on the sci-fi survival horror genre.”
Playing as Jacob Lee, voiced by Josh Duhamel, you are thrown into a fight for survival as a mysterious outbreak mutates people into terrifying monsters.
You have ranged and melee weapons at your disposal, and choosing what to use and when can be the difference between a gruesome death and survival.
The Callisto Protocol is described as a next-gen horror survival game, and it will take advantage of the PS5s 3D audio and DualSense controller haptic feedback.
The Callisto Protocol also got a release date of December 2, when it will release for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC.
