If you’re wanting to earn loot boxes twice as fast, then the Overwatch Double XP weekend just might be of great help to you. Blizzard has announced that all players who  will play from 8 June until 12 June will be able to earn double XP. The Overwatch Double XP weekend is available for players on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One. This event is still part of the game’s first anniversary celebration which will run until 12 June.

The Double XP bonus applies to all in-game sources of XP which includes time you spent in a match, completing a match, completing consecutive matches, winning a match, earning medals, and backfiling a match in progress.

This does not affect your First Win of the Day bonus. It will still remain at 1500 XP. On the other hand, Blizzard said it will stack “multiplicatively with existing group and IGR bonuses.”
