New Sword Art Online Fatal Bullet Trailer Teases Story and Other Features

Bandai Namco has been hyping the upcoming Sword Art Online Fatal Bullet non-stop with different trailers and announcements. The latest of these is a new trailer that teases everything the game has to offer.

First, it introduces the new characters made especially for the game, then goes on with the classic characters, and then your AI partner. Then it goes on to explain the different systems in the game and how each of the classic characters can help you throughout the game.

The game is based on the Gun Gale Online (GGO) arc of the anime. GGO is a virtual reality massively multiplayer online (VRMMO) shooter where the series protagonist, Kirito finds himself facing off with a player with the ability to kill players in real life, ‘Death Gun’. The game will feature its own story, however the included ‘Kirito Mode’ will put players in control of the series hero as he goes head-to-head with Death Gun. This mode becomes accessible once the player has progressed enough and runs side-by-side with the main narrative of the game.

Players will also find other classic characters playing important roles in their adventure. Asuna can unlock different costumes through completed quests, Lisbeth can upgrade your gear and Agil can appraise the items you get from your adventures.

Sword Art Online Fatal Bullet will be released first in Japan on 8 February, then arrives to western shores on 23 February. The game will be available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
