There is great news for Star Wars fans, coming from an announcement via Twitter (X) on 5th April 2024, Ubisoft has announced the date on which they will present Star Wars Outlaws, a new Star Wars video game chapter. Ubisoft will reveal the most relevant information about their new title: The Story of Star Wars Outlaws.


The Trailer for Star Wars Outlaws: When It Will Be Announced and Where to Watch It

Star Wars Outlaws was announced on 13 January 2021, with a cinematic trailer released in June 2023 during the Xbox Games Showcase. It was quite a big surprise given the proximity of the Star Wars franchise to Electronic Arts.

With this announcement released on 5 April 2024, the Ubisoft team revealed that on Tuesday, 9 April 2024, at 9 am PST (6 pm CET), they would release as a World Premiere the Story Trailer for Star Wars Outlaws. A new chapter developed by Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment team.


What We Know About Star Wars Outlaws and What to Expect in the Future

We already have some information about Star Wars Outlaws, both from the official page and from the cinematic trailer released in 2023. The game is developed by Massive Entertainment, known for Ubisoft’s The Division series, as well as the recent Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Therefore, we can expect a similar graphical level considering the use of the Snowdrop Engine but also the total absence of the previous console generation.

The story of Star Wars Outlaws takes place between Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, and features the rogue outlaw Kay Vess accompanied by the Merqaals Nix. The two are about to pull off the biggest heist in the entire Outer Rim, exploring various planets aboard our Speeder and accepting contracts to steal valuables, recover information by sneaking into secret areas, as the most wanted outlaws in the Galaxy.
