Steam Next Fest is well underway now, giving indie developers and studios the chance to promote their games with discounts, demos, and showcases. And CampFire Studio has gone one step further by offering a 40-hour demo for their survival sandbox game Soulmask. Yes. 40 hours.

Due to release later this year, Soulmask is a sandbox game that offers an “authentic survival experience.” Finding yourself the last survivor of a sacrificial ritual, you’ll face a dangerous world where the odds are stacked against you to build your own tribe through exploration, resource management, and learning from the shattered and broken civilizations you stumble across.

The game boasts realistic physics, long-established tribal clans, eight different weapon styles, nearly 60 combat skills, and AI companions that can help you to farm, produce, and patrol as your tribe and home expands. And you can either go at it alone or jump online in PvP servers that support up to 70 players.

How to play Soulmask demo

Expected to release in 2024, you can get a head start during Steam Next Fest, which is currently on until February 12, by downloading the Soulmask demo. Developer CampFire Studio is letting everyone play for free for an unprecedented 40 hours, which is more than enough time to learn everything Soulmask currently has to offer and to learn to survive in its hostile world.
