SOLA Festival: The Next Chapter in Dead Island 2’s Zombie Apocalypse
After the Haus DLC released in November 2023, we haven’t had much new information about Dead Island 2. The situation seems to be changing thanks to a tweet from the official page announcing the arrival of the SOLA Festival for Dead Island 2.
The second DLC that expands the story of the new chapter in the Dead Island series.
Dead Island 2: What’s New with the SOLA Festival DLC
The new DLC soon to be released seems to be themed around music, at least from the atmospheres of the teaser and the very particular artwork featuring a guitarist zombie. Right in the midst of the zombie-infested LA, there seems to be a concert where some bands from the game based on the SOLA Festival, a festival dedicated to experimental music, are expected to participate.
With a new location, not only do we expect new musical themes to bash the various zombies with, but certainly new perk-themed weapons and much more. All while eagerly awaiting further info and finally the official trailer from the team.
When Does the New Dead Island 2 DLC Release and its Steam Release
Although we don’t know much about the new Dead Island DLC yet, we do know when the SOLA Festival will arrive; it’s set for the 17th April 2024. A very important aspect regarding the release date is that the DLC will come out before the release on Steam. In fact, on 22 April 2024, Dead Island 2 will finally be available on Steam after a year of exclusivity on the Epic Games Store. In short, many players will finally be able to get their hands on this new chapter with a new DLC and Steam features this late April.
