Ubisoft has launched Skull and Bones Year 2, with Season 1 available now and future content planned throughout the year, including combat on land and a massive Kraken for players to avoid. Year 2 and Season 1 are live now with Ascent Into Chaos.

Following a rocky launch, Skull and Bones is getting the treatment long-wanted by players as Ubisoft launches the action RPG’s Year 2, which includes a new large ship, a Kraken, and land combat.
Building on the success of the game’s first year, Ubisoft plans to add a new narrative in each season throughout the second year, introducing long-requested features and a free weekend.
What’s New in Year 2?
Skull and Bones Year 2 is going to be a massive year for the game, as four new seasons are coming, the first already going live with Ascent Into Chaos, which introduces an arms race between the Compagnie Royale and the Dutch Merchant Company, World Tiers, and new team-based PvP mode Death Tides.
Before the end of the year, Season 2, Oaths of War, will add the large Frigate to the game, Season 3, Guts and Glory, will introduce the long-awaited land combat feature, and Season 4, Eye of the Beast, will close the year by adding the Kraken into the waters.

Expanded World, Bigger Challenges
Each season in Skull and Bones Year 2 will look to “shake up” the Indian Ocean with all-new content and rewards to create a better player experience.
Features such as Ascension will allow players to enhance loot and gear, Death Tides will give rewards and XP that players can take into the main game and Smuggler’s pass, while player actions will continue to decide the fate of the ocean.
