Five months after the release of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, the team at Atlus brings exciting updates with version 1.03 and the release of a demo.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is the ultimate edition of Shin Megami Tensei V (SMT V), the fifth entry in the SMT series by Atlus, which first launched in 2021 as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. The Vengeance Edition arrived on 14 June 2024, available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

This version expands the story and follows the millennia-old conflict between Angels and Demons. Players take on the role of a young Tokyo student thrust into Da’at, a post-apocalyptic version of the city. With the spirit Aogami, they must resolve the conflict as a Nahobino, exploring new content and an alternative storyline in the Canon of Vengeance.


Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance – Free DLC in Version 1.03

On 4 November 2024, Atlus released a small but welcome free DLC for the game, included in version 1.03. It features:

  • 6 New Demon Navigators: Based on community votes, we see classic demons like Mothman, Mara, and Hell Biker,. Alongside new additions: Idun, Fionn mac Cumhaill, and Cleopatra. They can be encountered in Da’at and used as Demon Navigators.
  • “The Guardian of Light” Sub-quest: A new sub-quest available from Goko in Taito Ward. Completing it allows players to recruit Marici of the Kishin race.
  • Elite Virtual Trainers: After completing “The Guardian of Light,” players can re-challenge the quest’s powerful demons by speaking with the Researcher in the Tokyo Diet Building’s Terminal Room.

But that’s not all. To celebrate the success of SMT Vengeance five months after its launch, Atlus has released a demo for the game. This allows interested players to try out the latest entry in the Shin Megami Tensei series.
