Earlier this year, Brendan Greene has first confirmed that he and his team are working on the Desert Map as well as the Adriatic map. The first map that will be released will be the Desert Map, although no exact release date was revealed yet. It will be released sometime this December when the game leaves Early Access.
The PUBG Desert Map is 8×8 kms in size, just like the Erangel map. As you can see in the screenshots, it has densely packed buildings, shacks, a military camp of some sorts, and tons of sand.
Data miners have also discovered that the map includes desolate wasteland which has craters as well as limited water features. It also has a dense urban setting.
