Just days ago, Dead Island 2 sparked confusion among subscribers when it quietly disappeared from the Game Catalog. It wasn’t mentioned in the March or April PS Plus lineups, leaving fans frustrated and caught off guard. And now, before the dust can even settle, another game is being prepped for removal and this time, it’s the critically acclaimed Disco Elysium: The Final Cut.

Now to be fair, Disco Elysium’s departure may not be as abrupt as Dead Island 2’s, which literally just. This time around, some eagle-eyed PS Plus members noticed a quiet change on the game’s PlayStation Store page with a small note listing an end date of April 15 for its inclusion in the PS Plus Game Catalog.
That gave the community about two weeks’ notice which is better than nothing, but still far from ideal. For many subscribers still reeling from Dead Island 2’s sudden exit, it’s frustrating to see another game heading out without proper communication. What’s more, Disco Elysium hasn’t been listed in the “Last Chance to Play” section on PS Plus for April, meaning it could’ve easily gone unnoticed by most players.
Doing the math though, the timing actually lines up as April 15 marks the end of an 18-month run for Disco Elysium: The Final Cut on the service which is a decent stint, but still, the way it’s exiting raises eyebrows.
As of writing, Sony has made no official announcement regarding the removal. There’s always a slim chance this is just a glitch or placeholder, but given the pattern of recent quiet removals, it’s more likely this is just another stealth exit in the making.
