Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an upcoming first-person action-adventure game following the exploits of the legendary archaeologist as he embarks on an original story set in 1937 between the Raiders of the Last Ark and The Last Crusade films.
Highlights from Developer Direct
Revealed at the recent Xbox Developer_Direct event, developer MachineGames and Bethesda Softworks showcased 13 minutes of gameplay alongside some behind-the-scenes footage and developer insights on what it takes to be Indy and what’s instore for our favorite whip-lashing hero.
MachineGames is no stranger to epic first-person action games as the Swedish studio is well known for their Wolfenstein series which includes The New Order releases in 2014, The Old Blood released in 2015, and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus in 2017. All of which are either rated “Very Positive” or “Overwhelmingly Positive” on Steam.
Capturing the Indiana Jones Spirit
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle promises to be an absolute blockbuster as MachineGames works alongside Bethesda, a studio beloved for its epic narratives and world-building. On top of that, Bethesda CEO Todd Howard, famous for leading the development of Fallout and Elder Scrolls, is the game’s executive producer. So, the team has plenty of experience crafting unique and exciting video games.
Being Indy is a fantasy we’ve all had, and in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, you have the chance to make that dream a reality. The game is set mainly in first-person, other than a few action sequences, and with it taking place in locations all over the world where you’ll discover clues to solving ancient mysteries, you’ll get the chance to become Indy.
Throughout the 13-minute Developer_Direct showcase, MachineGames and Bethesda promised a fantastic adventure with “big, sometimes crazy ideas” that “digs into the heart of the character.” So, you’ve got loads of big and complex set pieces, a grand and timeless adventure, and a character everyone has grown up with. The only thing that could go wrong is if it has snakes. I hope it’s not snakes!

Havent heard of a new Indiana Jones in ages, hope this is a good one, maybe
Bethesda wont do what they are known to do with they games. (discord: rolonn)
I am one of the many fans of the India Jones movies and video games. So there is a lot of expectation since it will be an ambitious and promising game.

Not gonna lie, this game is developed by Bethesda, but judging from the trailer, it appears quite impressive. The first-person impression is particularly positive (Discord: Dovamax)
Though I would have expected a good old Tomb Raider-like game (3rd view), there is so much details put in this game to respect Indiana Jones spirit that I can’t over pass these promising gem.
