Key Facts
|
Persona 5 Tactica is the latest addition to the Persona series, aiming to incorporate tactical RPG elements with a grid-based battle map and somehow departing from the traditional turn-based system Persona is known for.
The game presents an intense rebellion in a fresh storyline, bringing back beloved characters from the Phantom Thieves alongside new allies and adversaries.
Persona 5 Tactica takes place in a parallel dimension called the Metaverse, where citizens are oppressed by a tyrannical government. The Phantom Thieves are transported to the Metaverse and are forced to help a revolutionary named Erina overthrow the government.
While not classified as an AAA title, Persona 5 Tactica has generated considerable anticipation this year. Plus, the announcement of its inclusion in Game Pass on day one has excited gamers and series fans even more.
With an active Game Pass subscription, you can now play Persona 5 Tactica for free starting November 17, 2023 same time as the game’s full release.
You will be able to access Persona 5 Tactica with no added cost on Xbox Game Pass PC, Console, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
The game marks the 10th title to join the subscription service this month and one of the day-one titles.
More games are expected to be announced for Game Pass free games this month so stay tuned as we update the list.

I see that Xbox has seen the huge success of adding Persona 5 Royal back last year, so they decided to secure this spin-off as well. I’m honestly not a huge fan of the Persona Q style, but the game seems fun enough offering a tactical “grid “based combat, similar to Xcom or Fire Emblem, but with the Persona twist.
A bit disappointed in the lack of Royal cast, as Kasumi and Akechi are the 3rd and 5th most popular characters in P5
