One Game Is NOT Leaving Xbox Game Pass In March Anymore
The initial list of games leaving Xbox Game Pass in March had a total of 8 titles. Microsoft has now changed that to 7.
Xbox Game Pass continues to be one of the best deals in gaming, offering a rotating library of games for players to enjoy across console, PC, and cloud. Every month, new titles are added, sometimes as exciting day-one releases, while others rotate out of the service as their time on Game Pass ends. Usually, the big surprises come in the form of unexpected game additions, but every now and then, there’s a twist on the removal side as well.
While it’s never great to see a game leave the service, this time, the surprise is actually good news. A game that was originally set to leave Game Pass in March is now staying.
MLB The Show 24 Is No Longer Leaving Game Pass
When the initial Leaving Soon list for March was revealed on Xbox Game Pass, it included eight games set to exit the service. Among them was MLB The Show 24 which was understandable considering that MLB The Show 25 is coming out soon.
However, as the official Xbox Game Pass March Wave 1 announcement rolled in, something changed as MLB The Show 24 was suddenly no longer on the list. And as per checking the Leaving Soon section, it is also no longer there. On top of that, MLB The Show 25 is confirmed not to launch day-one on Xbox Game Pass.
Considering these updates, it is safe to say that MLB The Show 24 will remain on Game Pass. While Xbox hasn’t provided an explanation to both 24 and 25 “situation”, at least one is in service, making it still a win for both sports fans and Game Pass subscribers.
MLB The Show 24 is the latest entry in Sony San Diego’s acclaimed baseball simulation franchise. Featuring realistic gameplay, deep career modes, and online play, it continues to be the premier baseball experience on consoles. The game launched day-one on Xbox Game Pass in March 2024, marking another year where Xbox players get full access to this MLB installment at no additional cost.
With its confirmed extended stay on Game Pass, baseball fans can rest easy and keep stepping up to the plate for the foreseeable future.
