Xbox Game Pass April 2025: What’s New? Discover April’s additions to Game Pass and when to start playing for free!

Xbox Game Pass April 2025  

Update April 23 – While it wasn’t completely stealthy, the shadow drop of The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered has happened. The standard edition is now available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members and is an Xbox Play Anywhere title. A deluxe upgrade is also available for purchase.

Update April 16 – Microsoft has announced the wave 2 list for April and it brings 10 new great games to the lineup. It includes 3 day-one launches, one of which is under the Game Preview program: Towerborne. Also part are three confirmed titles for May. See updated schedule below.

Update April 8 – Xbox confirmed that GTA V and NHL 25 are coming to Game Pass this month. GTA V and GTA V Enhanced are coming to Game Pass on April 15th, while NHL is coming to Ultimate via EA Play on April 10th.

Update April 3 – It is indeed a great month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers! While the amount of day-one launches this month is enough to excite any member, the reveal of the wave 1 titles has just topped it up a notch. It’s even hard to mention which non-dayone title headlines this list because all are great games. Standard tier is also winning with some previous launch-day additions.

It is also worth noting that Descenders Next is no longer launching under the Game Preview/Early Access program on April 9th, meaning no Game Pass too. The release date has been pushed back with no target date as of writing.

  Xbox Game Pass April Wave 1  

Original publication – We may still be in March and probably still waiting for that surprise addition for this month as it feels a bit short BUT the April lineup is already making up for it.

The official announcement isn’t out yet but as of writing, we already have 7 games confirmed to enter Game Pass for April. Yes, because it’s ahead of the reveal that means we are getting 7 day-one launches next month. Maybe that’s why March feels a bit under?

 

Xbox Game Pass April 2025 Joining Titles

Xbox has just recently released March’s wave 2 list but even before that announcement, 6 games were already confirmed for April thanks to their day-one launches. And then as soon as the wave 2 news came, another title was confirmed to enter next month making it, as of writing, 7 games to enter service. It may sound cliche but April is really shaping up to be a great month.

These are the games scheduled to enter Xbox Game Pass for April 2025 which will be updated as soon as more titles are confirmed:
