New World Dominates Steam Charts
New World, the upcoming MMO from Amazon Games Studios, is set for release next month, and during its closed beta, it has seen some impressive numbers on Steam.

NEW WORLD CLOSED BETA PEAK PLAYERS
New World’s closed beta began July 20 and runs until August 2, and so far, the game is proving to be a hit on both Steam and Twitch.
New World was supposed to launch in 2020, but like many games last year, it saw a delay, and some thought it would mean its death. However, that has not proven to be true.
According to Steamdb, New World has seen a peak concurrent player count of 200,856, which is enough to put it in the top 5 most played games on Steam.
New World also became the second most-viewed game on Twitch, with more than 300,000 viewers.
The numbers may be a little misleading, though, as those who pre-ordered received a beta key, and those who signed up to the creator program could give multiple keys out to whoever they wanted.
Anyone that pre-ordered the game and refunded it could still access the closed beta, so when the game launches, it may not see as much success, but it’s still been an incredible week for the game.
