New World Closed Beta: Here’s How You Can Join

Amazon’s move into the world of MMOs with New World is set to launch in August, and Amazon has announced how you can gain access to the game’s closed beta.

New World is set on the shores of Aeternum, where players will need to forge their own path to success, forming Companies with other players and building it together through crafting, trading, and fighting.

Those wishing to gain access to the closed beta can do by either pre-ordering the game on Amazon or on Steam, or players wishing to can apply for the closed beta via the game’s official website at newworld.com.

Pre-ordering the game will gain you bonus content, with the Deluxe Edition giving you even more. For those interested, we have included what extras you gain below.

Pre-order Bonus Content

• Closed Beta access. Secure access to the Closed Beta on July 23, 2020.
• Isabella’s amulet. Equip Isabella’s amulet to gain additional constitution to weather attacks and deal additional damage against certain types of supernatural enemies.
• Unique title. Proudly display your “Expedition One” title as part of the initial wave of explorers to hit Aeternum’s shores.
• Emote. Greet your fellow adventurers with the Fist Bump emote.
• Guild crest set. Three unique guild crests featuring axes, muskets, and armor.

Deluxe Edition Bonus Content

• Woodsman armor skin. Stand out from the crowd or blend in with the forest with the Woodsman armor skin.
• Woodsman hatchet skin. Complete the Woodsman look with this skin for the versatile hatchet.
• Mastiff house pet. Make your house a home with the Mastiff house pet. Access to housing unlocks at level 20 in-game.
• Rock/Paper/Scissors emote set. Rock, Paper, Scissors, a light-hearted game with friends, or a tool for making difficult decisions.
• New World digital art book. A collection of incredible concept art from the making of New World.

New World has been previously delayed due to the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic but is now set to launch August 25, 2020, and you can purchase it either on Steam or on Amazon.
