Netflix confirms plans for 40 new games in 2023

The streaming platform Netflix recently announced that it plans to release 40 new games this year.

So far, only a few of Netflix’s users are utilizing the games offered by their streaming provider. According to data from Netflix, in August of last year, less than 1% of subscribers used any of the games.

However, despite these low numbers, Netflix now wants to expand its offering by an additional 40 games.

During the Q1 2023 Earnings Interview, Netflix’s Co-CEO, Greg Peters, spoke about the plans the streaming platform has for gaming. He stated that there will be 40 new games released this year.

Problems with Netflix Games

One of the main reasons why currently only a few of Netflix’s users also play the games is because they are exclusively playable on mobile devices.
