The team at Visual Concepts and 2K Sports has released a new trailer to tease the arrival of NBA 2K25. The 2025 edition of the annual video game counterpart of the professional basketball is set to arrive in September. A short trailer that nevertheless showcases and confirms some of the great basketball stars we will be able to play as.
Titled “What If,” the new teaser features some professional players in action. We’re talking about Jayson Tatum, A’ja Wilson, and Vince Carter, who, as confirmed by this trailer, will be the faces of the 4 covers for the 4 editions of the NBA 2K25 game. Tatum will be the face of the Standard Edition, Wilson of the WNBA Edition, both will appear in the All-Star Edition, and finally, the legendary Vince Carter as the face of the Hall of Fame Edition.
Announcing not only the 4 game editions but also the green light for pre-orders for the new NBA 2K25. The WNBA Edition with A’ja Wilson is an exclusive available only in physical edition at selected retailers. While the All-Star Edition includes a whopping 100,000 VC with MyCareer items like the Jayson Tatum Cover Jersey and the Electric Skateboard Skin, and the MyTEAM Promo Box (which includes 10 MyTEAM Player Cards, 3 Diamond Shoe Cards, 1 Amethyst Coach, and 3 Takeover Boosts). The Hall of Fame Edition adds a 12-month NBA League Pass subscription and the Season 1 Pro Pass with 4 Automatic Pro Pass Rewards. Moreover, those who pre-order the game, depending on the edition and gaming platform, will receive 5000 VC as an additional bonus.
The 2K team promises us a new iteration of ProPLAY, the technology that allows player behavior to be adapted and simulated thanks to NBA footage feed, which is evident from the more modern system requirements although it is still being released for previous generation consoles and on Switch.
While the MyCAREER and MyTEAM modes are now the core of the sports experience offered by 2K Sports, the big news in this edition is finally the inclusion of the women’s division with the WNBA. It is no coincidence that A’ja Wilson is one of the chosen faces for the 2K25 covers. We will therefore have a new division to experience, and surely there will be no shortage of rewards and cosmetics with the arrival of Season 1 that will accompany the launch of NBA 2K25. The launch will take place on 6th September 2024, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
