NBA 2K19 Gets an Impressive New Gameplay Trailer

2K Sports just dropped a new gameplay trailer for the next iteration of their premier basketball sim. The new NBA 2K19 trailer showcased the new player models, some fan-favorite moves, and the results of the developer’s focus on realism.

In the trailer, you’ll see quite a few NBA superstars including Lebron James in his new Lakers uniform. The trailer bears the Xbox branding so this was most likely captured from either an Xbox One or an Xbox One X. Regardless, the bits and pieces we see in the trailer are impressive so far. NBA 2K19 will feature Giannis Antetokounmpo as the global cover athlete, while Australia and New Zealand will feature the image of Ben Simmons. The 20th Anniversary Edition will feature none other than Lebron James himself on the cover.

Despite having a “Mostly Negative” rating on Steam, NBA 2K18 has become the franchise’s top selling entry. This success will most likely continue on to the next installment. To paraphrase one commenter on YouTube — We don’t like to admit it, but we always get the new (NBA) 2K no matter what we think.

NBA 2K19 will launch on September 11 for PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch.
