World of Warcraft

In World of Warcraft, the Feast of Winter Veil has been a tradition for over 15 years. This event offers a plethora of activities for players, such as decorating the capital city Ironforge, distributing gifts to NPCs, or participating in the popular Winter Veil gift exchange.

Additionally, players looking for an exciting Christmas in World of Warcraft won’t be disappointed. You can fight the Greench or complete daily quests to receive gifts, which this year may even include a wintery skin for your Highland Dragon. The event runs from December 16 to January 2.

Final Fantasy XIV

Final Fantasy XIV will also host a grand Christmas celebration for the community, the Starlight Celebration event. During this event, the world of Final Fantasy transforms into a literal winter wonderland. 

Players can decorate the city of Gridania for Christmas, collect and exchange Starlight gifts, and embark on a new mission to obtain the “Unorthodox Saint’s” armor set and an “Illuminated Topiary Chocobo” for outdoor decoration. This event runs from December 15 to January 1.

Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2 features the Wintersday event, where the entire map is covered in white snow. During this event, players can acquire Tomes of Knowledge to increase their level up to level 80, craft Christmas items, and participate in a massive snowball fight.

By completing missions, you receive gifts and currencies, which can be used to buy new decorations for the guild. Completing Wintersday achievements rewards you with items from the Holy Solstice Collection, a Winter Fur Shoulders Skin, and much more. The event runs from December 12 to January 2.

Elder Scrolls Online

In Elder Scrolls Online, the New Life Festival is happening this year in Tamriel. Players can participate in numerous activities, including gift-giving for extra loot and decorating the city of Davon’s Watch.

The event offers a wide range of missions, earning gifts or event tickets to purchase exclusive in-game items. The event runs from December 21 to January 3.

Star Trek Online

Star Trek Online is hosting a Christmas event, Q’s Winter Wonderland, featuring limited-time minigames like Fastest Game on Ice and Klingon Ice Fishing. By participating in daily events, you can earn a new ship, the Tamarian Deep Space Cruiser [T6].

There are also Christmas-themed skins like Winter Sweaters and wintery weapon skins. The event runs from December 5 to January 4.

EverQuest

The Frostfell Event is currently underway in EverQuest. During the Frostfell Festival, the entire island is covered in white snow. You’re tasked with helping Santug Claugg with his list of gifts. From December 24 to 26, he will even give you gifts, so be sure to check out the FrostFell Event in EverQuest on these days. The event lasts until December 30.

Starting December 31, there will be a grand fireworks display illuminating the world of EverQuest, continuing until January 7.

Runescape

The 2023 Christmas Event in Runescape features a special area, the Christmas Village, available only during the event and located in the Land of Snow. Through daily missions, you earn letters for Santa, which can be exchanged for winter cosmetics and other rewards.

Additional boosters like Tier 4 luck are active during the event. Be sure to play Runescape during the Christmas Event to not miss out on these boosters. The event runs until January 4.

EVE Online

EVE Online is hosting the Winter Nexus event again this year. Traveling in New Eden, you’ll encounter snowstorms, creating a Christmas atmosphere even in space. You’ll find Yoiul Challenges offering various rewards.

There are new activities like Sansha battles, exploring Hacking Sites, and especially Yoiul Resource Sites, where you can get skins and other loot drops. The event runs until January 4.
