Microsoft Flight Simulator finally lands on the Xbox Series X and Series S consoles, and launches with the Flight Simulator Update 5.

FLIGHT SIMULATOR UPDATE 5
Microsoft Flight Simulator is launching on Xbox Series X and Series S, and with it comes a massive update that improves performance.
The update improves CPU performance, virtual reality performance, and various other performance optimizations.
Some key updates include the following:
- Up to 30% better FPS than Update 4
- Improved draw distance that removes tree line popping
- Glass cockpits and big airports don’t impact performance as much
- PC users can now use ray tracing
- Xbox users can use mouse and keyboard
There are some massive updates coming later this year and in 2022 too, including the following improvements:
- Release of replay mode
- Six different world updates expected in 2022
- Introduction of gliders
- A massive Live Weather update due in 2022
- All future updates will launch on PC and Xbox consoles
Flight Simulator Update 5 is a big update and will see the game made available on Xbox Cloud Gaming in the future.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is available now on the Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox Series X and Series S users can pre-load the game now ahead of its launch.
