Last month Microsoft announced a partnership with Nintendo that will see Call of Duty games added to the Switch and future Nintendo consoles for the next 10 years.
In a recent filing, as part of the ongoing investigation by the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), Microsoft revealed how CoD would work on Switch.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 could come to the Nintendo Switch thanks to a “long history of optimizing game performance for available hardware capabilities” on PC GPUs and older consoles.
So, whether Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 comes to the Nintendo Switch soon or not, it seems this new deal between Microsoft and Nintendo is not only great for both companies and players but also a way for Microsoft to counter PlayStation’s accusations of monopoly.
