Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (MGS Delta) is the awaited Remake of the famous fifth chapter of the Metal Gear series. With a project developed on Unreal Engine 5 that brings back a modernized graphics and gameplay of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater from 2004.
This same chapter serves as the prequel to the entire series, set in 1964. Marking the big return of the series after the disastrous Survive from 2018. With MGS Delta ready for launch in 2025, coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – Official Release Date Announcement
With the rumors from early February confirmed, we got the official announcement during the State of Play on February 13th. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will officially release on August 28, 2025.
Offering a standard game version and a Deluxe Edition that includes the Sneaking DLC Pack (Cosmetic content). Additionally, Konami has decided to implement Early Access for Deluxe Edition owners, who will get access to MGS Delta 48 hours before the official launch.

With preorders now open, Konami’s team has finally revealed the system requirements for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater on PC:
Minimum:
- Processor: Intel i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Graphics Card: RTX 2060 Super (8GB)
- RAM: 16 GB
- Storage: 100 GB (SSD Recommended)
Recommended:
- Processor: Intel i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Graphics Card: RTX 3080
- RAM: 16 GB
- Storage: 100 GB (SSD Recommended)
Not overly demanding system requirements, though the absence of AMD and Intel graphics cards is certainly noteworthy. It remains to be seen what the native resolution and framerate targets are, as well as the graphical presets. A growing question due to the use of Unreal Engine 5, after Kojima’s Fox Engine was abandoned in 2020.
In Conclusion
The system requirements are not too demanding for the MGS 3 Remake. A remake that will certainly feature the usual DLSS, FSR for upscaling. Although there’s still no confirmation of Ray Tracing effects. However, the presence of RTX graphics cards in the requirements seems to confirm this.
