November 7, or N7 Day as it’s known in the Mass Effect community, sees EA, BioWare, and fans of the series come together to celebrate. And this year, BioWare has used the day to release a new trailer for the upcoming Mass Effect 4.
The trailer reveals a masked N7 figure walking through a hangar or warehouse before passing through a doorway. And that’s it. The words “Mass Effect” pop up, and the trailer ends.
There is no prize for claiming the victory other than the prestige of knowing your guild was the first to take down the boss.
There’s no information revealed about who the mystery character is or when the game is expected to release, but it does signify that we could hear a lot more about it sometime later this year or early 2024.
BioWare is keeping information on the next Mass Effect game quiet. Still, a leak in September suggested they plan to ditch the open-world elements seen in Andromeda and return to a more natural story-driven campaign.
We also don’t know what characters we’ll see, but many hope to see some familiar faces from the original trilogy.
That could mean a return for Commander Shepard, which BioWare is clearly pointing toward or wants fans to think with the latest trailer showing his N7 rank.
Ultimately, we don’t have much info, but with the latest trailer, that may be all about to change.
