The team behind Manor Lords, Slavic Magic, brings some new news regarding some of the features coming soon to their medieval-themed city builder. With a small preview of some content, the team not only shows us some of the most requested features by the community but also an upgrade to the graphics engine. Updating to the modern Unreal Engine 5, which will certainly help in development during Early Access.
The official announcement from Slavic Magic arrives on 23rd July 2024, on the Manor Lords news Hub on Steam. But we had some sneak peeks since 15th July with confirmation that the team is working on a fishing pond. Small features, but also some quite important ones, that will help not only in the gaming experience but also in shaping the game before the official launch.

A separate note certainly deserves the Unreal Engine 5 issue. In fact, Manor Lords was launched as an Early Access title on 26 April 2024, using Unreal Engine 4. But right among the preview of the upcoming additions, the team talks to us about UE 5, seeing in the new graphics engine not only the visual impact but also that of more suitable development looking forward. It reiterates, however, that the team does not want to overdo it to maintain a good level of performance for players.
