Hangar 13 wants to speed up the release of games under the Mafia franchise by planning Mafia 5 as early as now.

Rumors say that Hangar 13 is already working on Mafia 4, and studio head Nick Baynes is already looking to have Mafia 5 approved.

Baynes hopes that Mafia 4 will help Hangar 13’s financial standing, and by starting on Mafia 5 as soon as Mafia 4 is done, it will help them transition smoothly from one game to the next. This also means that workers won’t have to be displaced as soon as the project is done.

Although there’s no official word yet on Mafia 4, rumors about it have continued to circulate. One of the rumors say that it is a prequel to the first part, and is set between the late 19th century to the early 20th century. There’s also rumors about its story revolving around Don Salieri who’s a crime boss who worked with Tommy Angelo.
Aside from Mafia 4, Hangar 13 is also reportedly working on a a new Top-Spin game, but as per usual, as long as there is no official word from the developers themselves, we’ll have to take this news with a grain of salt.

Mafia 1 and 2 were amazing games. Hangar 13, however, proved their incompetence with 3 and the definitive editions. Not much hope for 4 to be anything decent.
