Just a few days ago, without any official announcement, the small duo behind Dark Blue Games decided to offer their game Infected Shelter for free. A very peculiar choice, but one that allows many to try out this exuberant post-apocalyptic-themed beat ’em up.
Getting Infected Shelter is very simple; just go to the game’s official page on Steam. Once there, simply click on “Add to Library” to add it to your Steam library, or click on “Play Game” to start the download.
Infected Shelter is now available as a Free-to-Play game, whereas it previously cost 9.99€. A very particular choice by the small Dark Blue Games team, which decided to offer the only game they have on Steam for free. The game will be available for free on Steam with no expiration date. That said, it is possible the game may be removed entirely from Steam in the future, allowing access only to those who added it to their Library in time.
Infected Shelter is an exuberant Roguelite and Beat’em Up game set in a post-apocalyptic world. As a survivor, one day you’ll wake up to discover your group has been kidnapped. Venturing outside your shelter, you will meet some of the kidnappers and try to uncover the reason behind their actions. All this through a violent approach in a hand-drawn, gory game, which allows you to play either solo or with up to three other players locally. With the roguelite element offering different runs each time, having access to over 170 blueprints for weapons, skills, armor, and much more in a simple but fun game.
