Microsoft’s indie-focused ID@Xbox Showcase gave fans a look at future updates on some of the biggest indie games and revealed a few more as 2025 continues at light speed for the video games industry.
Among the games highlighted were Balatro, which has just been added to Xbox Game Pass, Tron: Catalyst, which has a confirmed release date, and 33 Immortals, which is coming to Early Access in March.
Balatro Expands with Major Update
The most surprising update was for Balatro, with the highly popular roguelike deckbuilder now available on Xbox Game Pass.
In additional news, the game is also receiving another “Friends of Jimbo” update. Players can expect more card customizations coming from Fallout, Assassin’s Creed, Friday the 13th, Bugsnax, Civilization, and Slay the Princess.
Tron: Catalyst New Gameplay Trailer
It’s official: Tron: Catalyst is releasing on June 17, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. This single-player action-adventure game will put players in the role of Exo, a Glitch with various abilities that seeks to end the Arq Grid’s overlords.
With an original and immersive Tron storyline, fans can step into a high-stakes world, uncovering more of the universe, its characters, and stories that make the IP so exciting.

Blue Prince Official Trailer
Developer Dogubomb officially unveiled the release date for Blue Prince. The upcoming puzzle adventure will release April 10, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S and PC, and Xbox Game Pass. Set in a mysterious manor, players explore ever-shifting rooms and solve puzzles to reach Room 46.
Echo Weaver Coming to Xbox
Moonlight Kids’ self-described “MetroidBRAINia” will launch on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S alongside a Steam release. While no release date is set, the game is available to wishlist and will land on Game Pass at launch.
Herdling Launching in Summer
From the creators of FAR, Herdling is a new interactive adventure game where players lead a herd of beasts to a mountain’s summit. Various challenges await, including changing weather and environmental puzzles. Herdling is officially coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass this summer.
Rockbeasts Announced
Live out your rockstar fantasy in the upcoming rock band management game Rockbeasts from Lichtund and Team 17. Set in the 1990s, players will write their own legend as they decide their path to the top of the music charts. Featuring over 100 hand-drawn characters, 90 locations, and voice-over actors from games like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, Rockbeasts hits the charts in 2025 for PS5, Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
Outbound Gameplay Trailer
Since its announcement last year, the open-world exploration game Outbound has been eagerly anticipated. Set around a camper van, players craft, build, and flourish using the sun, wind, water, and resources they can scavenge. Players can finally play Outbound in 2026 when it launches on Steam and Xbox Series X|S.
Hotel Barcelona Gets New Trailer
Metroidvania Hotel Barcelona is an upcoming title from White Owl Inc., the team behind Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise. After the most sadistic serial killers from across the US gather in a hotel, novice federal marshall Justine must work to destroy them all – the only problem is that she has a serial killer living inside her. Every run is a unique challenge, with players learning from past mistakes as they take on various bosses across multiple locations. Hotel Barcelona hits Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2025.
Lies of P: Overture Story Trailer
Lies of P: Overture is the highly anticipated prequel DLC to Lies of P. The Souls-like is set in late 19th-century Krat, with players embarking on an epic adventure to unravel the mysteries of the past to save the future. The impressive-looking expansion will launch in Summer 2025.
33 Immortals Early Access Launch Date
33 Immortals is hitting Early Access on March 18 and will come to Xbox Series X|S and PC via Epic. The 33-player action-roguelike will challenge players to work together in fast-paced “pick-up and raid” runs. 33 Immortals is also coming to Xbox Game Pass.
Revenge of the Savage Planet Release Date
Journey to the Savage Planet sequel Revenge of the Savage Planet is launching for PlayStation, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on May 8. The co-op adventure game features all-new abilities, four unique planets, and brand-new gear.
Ratatan Release Window
Upcoming rhythm roguelike Ratatan got a new gameplay trailer at the ID@Xbox Showcase, with a release for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC in 2025. Players have access to various magical instruments, which they use to guide and order Cobuns as they take on challenges and attempt to reach The Everafter, where The Goddess resides.
Descenders Next Coming in April
Descenders Next, the long-awaited sequel to RageSquid’s Descenders, is launching into Early Access on April 9. The action-roguelike will allow players to attack the slopes in more ways, opening up even more extreme styles and skills. The game features improved customization, all-new parks, and unlockable areas to uncover.
The Lonesome Guild Announced
Coming Fall 2025, The Lonesome Guild is an all-new single-player action-adventure from Tiny Bull Studios and Don’t Nod. In this top-down RPG, players create a group of misfits, each with their own abilities and stories. Build relationships and embark on an unforgettable journey to explore a charming world of mystery, secrets, and treasures.
