The House of the Dead 2 R is the project in development by the Polish team MegaPixel. Announced in 2019 as part of the team’s contract with SEGA. And with publisher Forever Entertainment, to bring a modernized version of the classic arcade shooter.
With the remake of the first game released on April 7, 2022, it was received somewhat lukewarm by fans. A solid game but lacking in content and for many, not very recognizable compared to the original. The second remake is expected to arrive on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Spring 2025.

After the January announcement of the release period, the MegaPixel Studios team returns with new news. Announcing today, February 24, 2025, the availability of the demo of The House of the Dead 2: Remake. Taking advantage of Steam Next Fest to bring a taste of this great cult classic remake.
Where, as special agents James and Gary in 2000, we find ourselves in a city hit by hordes of the undead. Offering us the first level of the game with the possibility to play in co-op. Featuring modern graphics and the option to choose between the classic OST or the remastered version.

The House of the Dead 2: Features of the Remake
As mentioned earlier, this is the remake project for the second chapter of the series by MegaPixel Studios. With this remake of the second game, it promises:
- Remastered Music (Classic OST included)
- Modern Graphics
- Gameplay in line with the original
- Multiple Endings and Level Branching
- Co-op Mode
All in line with the remake of the first game, including the graphics. Offering 3 gameplay modes: Classic Campaign for the classic game campaign. Plus Boss Mode for a boss rush and Training Mode to improve your reflexes.
In Conclusion
