Horizon Forbidden West: Sony to Plant Trees for Unlocked Trophy
Horizon Forbidden West players will get the opportunity to take part in Sony’s Play and Plant initiative by unlocking a trophy in the game.

Unlocking the “Reached the Daunt” trophy in Horizon Forbidden West will go towards making the world a greener place. As part of Sony’s Play and Plant initiative, the company will plant trees for every player who will receive the trophy.
This initiative is in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, a nonprofit organization in the US that’s dedicated to planting trees.
There are three reforestation projects that this initiative will be able to contribute on. The first one is the Douglas County Forest in Wisconsin, then in Sheep Fire Private Lands in California, and Torreya State Park in Florida. Sony estimates over 288,000 trees will be needed to successfully complete the reforestation projects.
The Horizon Forbidden West Play and Plant Program will run until March 25, 2022. One tree will be planted for every “Reached the Daunt” trophy received in the game.
Sony in the UK and France are also taking part in this program. PlayStation UK has announced that they are partnering with the Eden Project, where they will light up the Eden Project Biomes dome in Cornwall, reflecting Aloy’s Shieldwing. This will eventually lead to the creation of a 12-acre wildflower habitat where local wildlife and more will flourish.
“Our partnership with @edenproject will see the creation of a 12-acre wildflower habitat in Morecambe, Lancashire, to be sown in March. This new habitat will be developed to support local wildlife and aid biodiversity. (Don’t worry, no Clawstriders),” PlayStation UK said on Twitter.
