Hollow Knight Silksong – Is the Long-Awaited Big Announcement Coming Soon?
A few days ago, insider eXtas1s finally shared some new information about Hollow Knight Silksong. He mentioned that we might get a big surprise from Xbox as early as June, including a Day One release on Game Pass.
Since that info leaked, we’ve finally seen an official sign of life. The Steam version metadata of the game has been updated. So, is the elusive Hornet finally getting ready to set off on her own adventure?
The latest clues pointing to an upcoming release of Hollow Knight Silksong
Since the game was revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase 2022, where it was announced as a full standalone sequel to Hollow Knight and not just a DLC, things have been quiet. But it looks like we’ll be getting official updates soon — not at the next Nintendo Direct as many expected, but likely in the form of upcoming Xbox news.
The Steam version of the game has received its first update in years, bringing us some exciting new details. The data suggests that Team Cherry has taken steps to make Hollow Knight: Silksong available on GeForce Now, NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service, starting from launch. The copyright year was also updated from 2019 to 2025. Unfortunately, there are no new images, but new assets have been added to the game’s Steam library.
So everything points to us finally getting to play Hollow Knight: Silksong soon. What is certain is that the game will be available on GeForce Now at launch. And according to eXtas1s, the game is also expected to launch on Game Pass, which makes a lot of sense in the context of cloud gaming.
