Helldivers 2: Here’s How to Get Official Merch Without Breaking the Law

Helldivers 2 is massive, it’s so popular that there’s hundreds of merch being made up and sold on sites like Etsy. The problem is that Helldivers 2 does not have any official merchandise. Not yet, anyway.
It’s only natural that players want t-shirts, caps, and just about anything else they can think of with images of their favorite games. The problem is that it opens up players to potential fraudsters and those who design and sell it to potential lawsuits due to copyright infringement.
For the moment it seems developer Arrowhead Game Studios isn’t planning and putting a stop to the merch popping up on sites like Etsy, but they have taken note of it. Game director Johan Pilestedt told one of the sellers on X that he “shouldn’t openly admit to copyright infringement” but they are open to “making it legal.”

This is in no way a reason to purchase Helldivers 2 gear and apparel from these sites, but it does seem to be a step forward to getting official Helldivers 2 merch. If you can’t wait, though, and you’re eager to join the Super Earth Defence Force, I’m sure you’ll be able to find a few things to scratch that itch.
