GTA V returns to Xbox Game Pass today, April 15, with the Enhanced Edition now available on PC Game Pass too!

Few games have left a mark on the industry quite like GTA V. A cultural phenomenon since its debut in 2013, GTA V has not only stood the test of time, it’s thrived across multiple console generations, constantly evolving and setting the bar for open-world experiences.

Now, with all eyes on Rockstar and the highly anticipated GTA 6, there’s even more reason to revisit the chaos, charm, and crime-filled streets of Los Santos. Rockstar Games is bringing GTA V back to Xbox Game Pass, giving both longtime fans and new players the perfect excuse to jump back in.

 

GTA V Rejoins Game Pass With GTA V Enhanced

Grand Theft Auto V is officially back on Xbox Game Pass today, April 15th, and it’s bringing some serious upgrades with it. While this isn’t the first time the iconic open-world crime saga has joined the Game Pass lineup, its return still hits different since the GTA V Enhanced is also joining PC Game Pass.

The news came via an Xbox Wire update on April 3rd, just days after Xbox revealed the initial titles for its April Wave 1 Game Pass drop. Although GTA V wasn’t included in that first wave reveal, this follow-up announcement confirmed that the beloved title is very much part of the month’s first batch. It was an early surprise and a very pleasant one.

And what a return it is. The Enhanced Edition offers a polished experience with upgraded visuals, smoother performance, and quicker load times. It did have a bit of a rough patch when it launched but Rockstar deployed updates to both Legacy and Enhanced on April 10th, making this Game Pass addition great timing.

   

With Rockstar slowly building anticipation for GTA 6, the timing of GTA V’s return to Game Pass couldn’t be better. It’s a smart move reinviting players back into the world that started it all, rekindling nostalgia, and keeping the GTA universe top-of-mind.

In other Game Pass news, Hunt Showdown 1896 also entered PC Game Pass today.
