Rockstar Games has suffered a leak that has seen more than 90 clips released online, apparently showing in-game footage of GTA 6.
Rockstar has been working on GTA 6 since 2014 and has been quiet about its development.
But now, in an apparent leak, it appears as though GTA 6 could be closer than ever after videos and screenshots from the next Grand Theft Auto were released online.
The leaks appear to show GTA 6 in early development and show a female protagonist, which is a franchise first.
Industry insider Jason Schreier confirmed on Twitter via his sources that the “massive Grand Theft Auto VI leak is indeed real,” and there could be repercussions.
Rockstar Games has also responded to the leak, seemingly confirming its authenticity, in a message saying they are “extremely disappointed.”
There is no official word on a release date, but after these leaks, we may see Rockstar officially show GTA 6 this fall, with a release date expected sometime in 2024.
