GRID PC System Requirements Announced
Codemasters has revealed the system requirements for their upcoming racing sim, GRID. Although technically the fourth GRID game, it is actually the first one to use just “GRID” as its title. The game is powered by Codemasters’ EGO Engine, the same engine used for F1 2019, so the system requirements will be quite similar to that of the Formula 1 sim.
The minimum requirements aren’t too hard to reach, but the recommended specs take a huge leap in comparison. The game will support DirectX 12 and will require a whopping 100 GB of free disk space. You can view the complete requirements below:
MINIMUM:
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: 64 bit Version of Windows 10
- Processor: Intel i3 2130 / AMD FX4300
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GT 640 / HD7750
- DirectX: Version 12
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 100 GB available space
- Sound Card: DirectX Compatible Soundcard
- Additional Notes: Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
RECOMMENDED:
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: 64 bit Version of Windows 10
- Processor: Intel i5 8600k / AMD Ryzen 5 2600x
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1080 / RX590
- DirectX: Version 12
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 100 GB available space
- Sound Card: DirectX Compatible Soundcard
- Additional Notes: Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
Performance-wise, it’s hard to tell how good the game will run. Codemasters’ two most recent games were two very different stories. DiRT Rally 2.0 suffered hard from performance issues but F1 2019 did not have the same problems. Hopefully, the game follows after F1 2019 and provides a great racing experience on the technical side.
GRID is set to launch on October 11th for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Stadia.
