With the start of August, Microsoft brings further news regarding Gamescom 2024, the annual video game event held in Cologne, representing the most important video games fair in Europe. News not only about the games that will be showcased and offered to those attending the event live, but also the dates that Xbox will cover with livestreams for those at home.
With an official news post on the Xbox site, Microsoft’s gaming division shares all the most interesting information about Gamescom 2024, scheduled for the end of August 2024. The big news this year is the absence of both Nintendo and PlayStation, leaving more room for Microsoft. To mark the occasion, Xbox has decided to expand their program, and as they announce, they will have the largest booth ever.
Microsoft not only confirms the lineup of games mentioned in June but also adds that between Xbox titles, partner games, and indie releases, the lineup will feature over 50 games. Special attention is given to Bethesda, Activision Blizzard, and Microsoft’s partner studios, with numerous reveals ready to be announced during the event. Among the newly mentioned games we have:
With the largest live booth ever, Microsoft’s section at Gamescom 2024 will cover 3 days of livestreams, featuring a mix of first-party games, partner titles, and indies. The livestreams will begin at 6am PDT / 9am EDT / 2pm BST / 3pm CEST on the following days:
Additionally, preceding the Xbox show, Bethesda will have a dedicated 1-hour block covering content for the Starfield Shattered Space DLC, The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road, Fallout 76: Milepost Zero, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and DOOM: The Dark Ages. Many of these titles will also be available at launch on Xbox Game Pass.
For those attending Gamescom live, there will be dedicated sections for certain games, as well as the chance to try out some of the new releases with exclusive demos and more. Meanwhile, those following the event from home can easily watch everything through the following official Xbox channels:
